Martin Langford has established himself as one of Houston's premier freelance musicians on all of the saxes (alto, soprano, tenor, and baritone), flute and clarinet.

He acknowledges that his proficiency on each instrument was developed because of his early training with the best private instructors: Hal Tennyson, Byron Hester, Richard Pickar and Jeff Lerner.  He attended the University of Houston on scholarship as an applied flute major.  After leaving UH, he studied at NTSU with Jim Riggs and played with the One O’Clock Lab Band.

Martin joined the Houston Professional Musicians Association and began playing professionally while still a student at Johnston Jr. High School.  His first recording was made while a student at Parker Elementary as  an original member of “The Singing Boys of Houston.”   Playing music is both his passion and career.

Performing in the style required by the music is one of Martin's strengths.
